New Order on iOS

To place an order on iOS, go to the Main Feed and tap on the PLACE ORDER button. A form titled PLACE ORDER will pop up. We designed to form to guide you through the order submission process step by step, providing helpful hints along the way:

  • Start by selecting the Portfolio you want to place the trade in. The vast majority of users have only one portfolio, Stockfuse Continuum. This is our flagship US stock trading game that every user automatically participates in.
  • Enter the Ticker of the stock you’d like to trade. For example, if you’d like to trade Apple, you can type out its ticker symbol AAPL. Alternatively, you can simply type the name of the company and we’ll provide a list of potential matches. In the search result, you’ll see the stock’s current market price and one-day percentage change. There’s even a mini-chart showing the stock’s price trajectory over the past month.
  • Select an Action; i.e., whether you want to Buy or Sell the stock. Note that we do not provide a dedicated button for short selling. To initiate a short position, simply Sell the stock!
  • Select the Order Type. We currently allow you to submit both market orders, which are for immediate execution, and limit orders, which are executed only if market price is better than the level you specified. If you choose the latter, you’ll be prompted to enter a Limit Price.
  • Enter the Quantity you’d like to trade. As you enter the quantity, we’ll compute the approximate market value of the trade. You can compare it against your buying power to ensure you have sufficient capital to execute the trade.
  • Enter a succinct Investment Rationale. This lets other users know why you are buying or selling the stock. It also helps you to keep track of your trading history, so that you can come back and see whether your trades worked out the way you expected!

Once you’re done with all the entries, tap on SUBMIT in the top right corner.
